Attention: Train approaching!

Trains and rail vehicles of all kinds have become high‑tech systems. When, beyond sleek design and comfortable functionality, the focus in railway construction shifts to maximum safety for passengers and staff, the choice of materials becomes crucial. This applies to fire protection–and equally to environmental protection.

As a long‑standing development and implementation partner for mechanical engineering and enclosure systems used in long‑distance trains, underground trains, suburban rail, trams and railway construction machinery, we apply our expertise to deliver first‑class solutions–always with Schinko’s commitment to safety, sustainability and economic efficiency.

Our commitment: safety, sustainability, and economic efficiency.

Cab Interior Equipment

A modern cab, e.g. in railway construction machinery, consists of a wide range of assemblies.

The following points provide insights into Schinko’s interior equipment. Click through and explore!

Operator’s cab

Complete workstation

Schinko systems takes a holistic approach – from robust cockpit structures for trackside use to ergonomics and workplace safety. We develop and manufacture complete, EN 45545-compliant interior fittings for railway construction machines. Select a component to learn more.

Driver’s Cab

Safe on the track

Control desk, seat, operating and display elements, claddings: Schinko equips the entire driver’s cab. Functionally separated from the operator’s cab, all necessary operating and display elements for the driving functions of the railway construction machine are integrated–designed for long distances, safe, ergonomic and fully compliant with standards. Schinko Performance on track: making railway construction easy

Driving consoles in the driver’s cab, ergonomic control stations for rail vehicle operators, operating elements within the vehicles, control technology and switch cabinets, rail‑vehicle kitchens, staff rooms or enclosures for hydraulics, electrics and pneumatics–take a breath! Machines, systems and enclosure solutions of all kinds, especially in rail‑vehicle construction, must achieve an enormous amount today–and they must be both lightweight and robust.

To reduce weight, we use lightweight and composite materials, or we create components with honeycomb structures. We know exactly how things work in railway construction–based on 30 years of experience. And with numerous products already implemented for our railway‑construction customers, we are flexible and fast in execution.

A broad field in machinery and plant engineering

Surfaces must feel pleasant to the touch and also make a strong visual impression.

In railway construction, they must additionally withstand extreme weather conditions, vandalism and even fire.

When it comes to fire protection, only materials that comply with the European standard DIN EN 45545 are used in rail vehicles, eg.

  • specially coated
  • fire‑resistant wood
  • flame‑retardant seals and approved plastics.

Necessary extinguishing systems and temperature‑control elements are integrated directly into the plant system by the Schinko development team. And through all of this, it’s important to keep a cool head in railway construction–which is something we do anyway.

Top advantages for rail‑machine manufacturers

Decades of collaboration with railway‑construction customers enable a deep understanding of customer needs from the ground up.

Stable and lightweight construction, with an individual performance package depending on the required development depth.

Thanks to available black‑box models, project workflows become faster, clearer and more efficient.

Optimal selection and seamless integration of components in mechatronics, automation, electronics and fluid technology.

Improved ergonomics, user‑friendliness and visual quality of machines and systems through high‑grade manufacturing methods in our in‑house production–with a strong focus on industrial design.

Guaranteed compliance with European standards for railway applications–fire protection in rail vehicles according to DIN EN 45545.
